Terms and Conditions

Agreement 


By using or accessing the consciousmothers.org website in any way, viewing or browsing the site, or downloading or adding your content, you agree to be bound by our terms of service. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. Please do not use this service if you do not agree to abide by our terms of use.


Any booking of our packages/workshops assumes full and informed compliance with these terms and conditions of sale. In the event of a dispute, English law pertains.


The site and its original content are the sole property of Kailey Pettigrew and Conscious Mothers LTD (Incorporation ref: 14481201). They are, as such, fully protected by the appropriate international copyright (whether or not protected by trademark and copyright laws) and may not be used other than for the participant's personal use without obtaining prior written permission.


Payment Cancellation and Refunds


Conscious Mothers will issue a refund within 14 days after payment if you are dissatisfied with the level of service after your first consultation call with a Conscious Mothers mentor.
Our services start at different trimesters, and we accept mothers from 20 to 29 weeks gestation at the point of consult.
We accept one of two payment options for our conscious packages: Option A: payment in full or Option B: two-part- payments of 50% at the programme's start. 

Our doula services are subscription-based models with 3 monthly instalments across a three to six-month period, tailored details highlighted in the contract of agreement.

After the initial payment, future monies must be received at least four weeks before the member's estimated due date.


Group Session Bookings and Cancellations

Update: Please note that pricing may be subject to change by the 06 th of April 2024 to be in line with inflation. 


A minimum of 3/5 participants is required to run our group antenatal, and 4/8 to participate in our postnatal classes. Conscious Mothers reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the workshop if the required number of participants cannot complete a group session. In the case of cancellation, an alternate date will be booked. A full refund will be issued if you deliver your baby before the new session date.


Any workshop payments must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
Should you need to cancel or amend the workshop date booked, please email at least 48 hours ahead; failure to do so may result in a 10% refund charge.  Likewise, if Conscious Mothers needs to rebook a session, 48 hours notice is given from a Conscious Mothers representative via text message.
 


Disclaimer Policy


Conscious Mothers website provides general and researched evidence-based maternal and mental well-being information. Our mentoring packages are not a substitute for sourcing professional prenatal and postnatal care, the advice of or the presence of a qualified professional during birth or any part of pregnancy or labour specialist (Midwife & or Obstetrician). We do not represent, in fact, or otherwise, an alternative to appropriate medical care or for professional medical advice in any way, shape or form.

Responsibility and Accountability


Conscious Mothers Org, aka Conscious Mothers Limited, accepts no responsibility for the inappropriate use of our services. Any person/s participating in complications or harm to any third party as a substitute for medical advice does so at their own risk.


Our services are considered open dialogue and education support to assist families with making informed choices for an individual's childbirth experience; all participants should always seek medical advice from qualified practitioners to make balanced decisions based on clinical recommendations and a clear understanding of their health.


Conscious Mothers Ltd subscriptions and packages are intended solely as an 'aid' to 'help' increase a woman's comfort level during pregnancy and childbirth. The postpartum journey participation does not guarantee or promise a woman's desired outcome, as the variables and circumstances may change at any point during these complex stages. 


Participation in mentoring sessions/classes organised by Conscious Mothers is undertaken with the understanding by any persons or third party that no litigation or legal action whatsoever will be initiated or that no form of compensation or reimbursement will be claimed or applied for at any time now or in the future against Kailey Pettigrew Conscious Mothers Ltd, its mentors, or its representatives under any circumstances whatsoever.


All course material provided is for general information purposes only and should not under any circumstances be construed in any way as being particular individual medical advice or instruction. We accept no responsibility for your decisions regarding your pregnancy and birth.


Conscious Mothers Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for any injury caused by participating in any physical activity on the programme within your home. When participating in any physical activity regarding our workshops, you are responsible for ensuring your space and equipment are safe to use.


If you feel unwell, symptomatic at any point in your pregnancy journey or reduced fetal movements, felt, you should immediately seek the advice of your Midwife, GP or other appropriate health professionals.


Your maternal healthcare provider is solely responsible for your legal care needs and attendance at antenatal appointments. Conscious Mothers are guidance mentors who help reduce risks to you and your infant through information, emotional support and talk therapies. Conscious Mothers accepts no responsibility or liability for any pregnancy loss, fetal abnormalities, method of delivery or short or long-term trauma. 


Privacy Policy 


We will keep your information private from 3rd parties. We will protect your data from misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration to the best of our ability. Conscious Mothers respects your right to privacy and will cover the general information you have provided as part of your application to attend any of our mentoring programmes/classes. 


If you participate in any of our packages or subscribe to receive correspondence from us, you agree that consciousmothers.org shall hold your details on file following the GDPR Act 2018. You have the right to view, amend or delete your file by giving no less than seven days written notice.


We treat your data with respect. With your permission, our organisation would like to use the data and evidence for further research on improving maternal outcomes. We will not sell or give your information to a third-party source; WIX.com hosts our site. Conscious Mothers are, therefore, not accountable for using data collected by the website host (completed September 2021).
